Paperworld is Great Chance for Sightseeing, but Not Business

The industry of printing supplies can boast of a number of big exhibitions, where specialists can meet global distributors and manufacturers as well as local companies. Each year the opening exhibition is held in Frankfurt, Germany, where PaperWorld takes place.  PaperWorld is a multi-faceted trade show gathering companies from different business realms. RechargEast Magazine visited the expo and the results and impressions about the first 2008 show are presented in this short overview.

The world famous PaperWorld expo was held at the Frankfurt International Fair from January 23 to January 27, 2008. The exhibition was merely focused on paper, office supplies and stationary products. The official figures for this year show a slight decrease in the number of participating companies: 2,255 from 61 countries compared with 2,437 in 2007. From these, only 499 were from Germany, the rest being international exhibitors. The proportion of the participants from the different countries should not be surprising to anyone, and the main ones are as follows:
