RECHARGE INDIA, is a monthly trade magazine committed to create awareness about the Imaging Industry Aftermarket in India. The first volume of the magazine was launched on 15th August 2007. The theme of the first volume was “Independence from OEMs” coinciding with the 60th Independence Day anniversary of India. RECHARGE INDIA aims to provide an interface to share information regarding Technical Insights, Training, Patent Laws, Industry updates, Marketing Strategies etc., to all the remanufacturers in India and also the market information about aftermarket products in India for suppliers and trading houses within and outside India.

Rechargeindia.com is our online version and would be available shortly in 4 Indian languages viz., Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and Tamil, keeping in view of the lingual diversity in India. We propose to add more languages subsequently.

Recharge India would publish a digital newsletter from October 2007 onwards, aiming to provide instant information to its users, regarding industry updates on a regular basis.

To make the magazine and website informative and interesting, we request individuals and businessess associated with the Remanufacturing, Imaging and Print industry both here in India & the World over to contribute articles, news, technical write-ups or other allied content, which we can include with an acknowledgment to the contributor.
 
EDITOR'S NOTE
 
It was a month of heavy suspense for the entire team of Recharge India. The much-awaited public opinion on the inaugural issue was eagerly looked forward. Finally the period of anxiety came to an end. Recharge India was not only accepted and appreciated by imaging industry in India, but also across the world. The sigh of relief was enormous. The team was elated and history was created with the inaugural issue itself.

The footprint of the magazine now covers more than 32 districts in India and is confident of reaching 100 districts by the distribution of current issue. Various agencies and networks were used for the distribution of the magazine. The aim was not only to circulate but also to collect information on the type of individuals receiving the magazine. More than 40 individuals employed by Recharge India put up a sustained effort to achieve the target of circulating the first 4000 copies.

Also the magazine was distributed at the World Expo 2007, Las Vegas. Visitors from various countries were amazed and delighted over the quality of the magazine for its contents and presentation.

The Industry Pioneer for this issue of Recharge India is Mr. Ed Swartz, Static Control Components, whose tireless effort in creating best components and processes for the remanufacturing industry created a competent and parallel challenge to OEMs. This is amply proved by his recent success in the much-publicized SCC V/s Lexmark case.

For the current issue of the magazine, the cover story “Economics of Remanufacturing” is published to create a general awareness of the Remanufacturing Industry as a whole and the bright future India holds on supporting this industry. The other topics for the current issue are Remanufacturing Instruction for HP 4600 Printer Cartridge, Environmental page, Industry updates and host of other articles to empower more knowledge on industry to the reader.

Finally the most awaited digital version of Recharge India website in Indian languages, is starting from the second week of October.
